Just want Eid al-Adha?

The story

I Am Eid al-Adha

Hello! I am Eid al-Adha. I am a very special holiday celebrated by Muslims all over the world. People look forward to my arrival. I am a festival that helps people remember an important story from a long time ago. This story is about a prophet, and his name was Ibrahim. The story shows how much he loved and trusted God. My celebration is a way to honor this story of faith and love, and it is a joyful time for everyone who observes me.

During my observance, it is a happy time for gathering. Families and friends come together to see one another. Many people put on their best clothes. These clothes are often new and colorful. They go to a special building called a mosque to say prayers together. After prayers, they visit each other’s homes. They share big, festive meals full of delicious food. It is a time filled with smiles, hugs, and happy talk as people enjoy being with the ones they care about.

A very important part of me is about being kind and sharing with other people. There is a special tradition called Qurbani. This is when meat is shared so that everyone can have a wonderful meal. The meat is divided into parts. One part is for the family, another part is for neighbors and friends, and a very important part is given to people who need some help. This act of sharing and kindness is at the heart of my celebration. It helps make sure that everyone can feel happy and enjoy a special feast together.
