Just want Asgard?
From my post at the edge of the sky, I can see everything. My name is Heimdall, and I am the guardian of the shimmering rainbow bridge called Bifrost. It connects the world of humans to my home, a kingdom in the clouds called Asgard. The air here hums with ancient magic, and the light from our golden halls shines so brightly it can be seen from far below. This is the realm of the Norse gods, and I want to tell you some of our stories. These are tales that were told around crackling fires on cold winter nights by brave Viking explorers. They are stories of heroes, monsters, and great adventures that filled their world with wonder. I have watched over this world for a very long time, and I have seen it all.
In the very center of Asgard stands Valhalla, the great hall of our king, Odin. He is known as the All-Father because he is so wise and powerful, and he travels across the Nine Realms looking for new knowledge. I often see his two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who are like his special messengers. They fly out at dawn and soar over all the worlds. When they return, they whisper all the secrets they have seen into Odin’s ear. Then there is his son, Thor, the mighty god of thunder. "Look out below." the other gods sometimes shout when he practices. When Thor swings his amazing hammer, Mjolnir, the sky cracks with lightning and the clouds rumble with thunder. He has a big heart and protects both gods and humans from giants and monsters. Not everyone here is so predictable, though. Loki, the clever trickster, is always playing pranks. Sometimes his tricks are helpful, but other times they are just mischievous, and he always keeps things interesting. From the Bifrost, I watch them all: the brave warriors training for battle, the goddesses tending to magical gardens with apples that keep us young, and the amazing Valkyries riding their winged horses across the sky to guide heroes home. Life here is full of adventure, courage, and family.

The Viking people who first told these stories saw our strength and magic all around them. They believed the boom of a storm was the sound of Thor’s hammer, and they saw the wisdom of Odin in their own brave leaders. These myths gave them courage in a world that was often harsh and mysterious. They told tales of Asgard to teach their children about being brave, loyal to their friends, and seeing the magic in the world around them. Even though the Vikings lived a long, long time ago, the stories of Asgard are still with us. You can see Thor and Loki in comic books and movies, and the idea of a magical city in the sky inspires artists and writers to dream big. The golden halls of Asgard remind us that even the oldest stories can shine a bright light on our own world, sparking our imagination and connecting us to the brave storytellers of the past.
