Just want Enkidu?
In a big, green forest, there once lived a man named Enkidu. He was strong and fast, and his hair was long and wild like a lion's mane. This is the story of how he met a great king, from a very old tale called the Epic of Gilgamesh. Enkidu ran with the gazelles. He drank water with the animals. He loved his home under the bright sun and the twinkling moon.
One day, a king named Gilgamesh heard about the wild man in the forest. Gilgamesh lived in a big, shiny city called Uruk with tall, strong walls. The king was a little lonely and wanted a friend. So Gilgamesh went to meet Enkidu. When they saw each other, they were so strong that they had a big, playful wrestling match. They tumbled and rolled and giggled and laughed. They were not fighting. They were playing. From that day on, Gilgamesh and Enkidu were the best friends in the whole world.
Together, the two best friends went on a big adventure. They went to a faraway forest to find a noisy giant named Humbaba. They were not scared because they were together. Their friendship made them brave. It also helped Gilgamesh become a kind and happy king. Their story was so special that people wrote it down on clay squares so no one would ever forget. And we still tell the story of Enkidu and Gilgamesh to remember that having a good friend is the best adventure of all.
