Just want Lech, Czech and Rus - Slavic?
The wind whispers through the ancient forests, a sound I’ve known my whole life. My name is Lech, and long ago, I traveled with my two beloved brothers, Czech and Rus, through a wild and beautiful land. We led our people, the Slavs, in search of a place to call our own, a home where we could build our future. This is the story of how we found our destiny, a legend that would become known as the myth of Lech, Czech, and Rus. We were a single family then, moving as one through endless green woods and across wide, sparkling rivers. But our family was growing, and we knew that one land could not hold all our dreams. The time was coming when we would have to find our own paths, but the thought of leaving my brothers filled my heart with a quiet sadness.
One day, we stood upon a hill where three paths branched out before us. My brother Czech, ever the practical one, pointed west toward a lone, proud mountain in the distance. 'I will climb that peak,' he declared, 'and the land I see from its top will be the home for my people.' He smiled, and we embraced, knowing this was our farewell. Rus, whose heart was drawn to the rising sun, looked to the vast, flat plains of the east. 'My path lies that way,' he said, his voice full of adventure. 'I will travel across the great steppes and find a home for my tribe.' We hugged him tightly, wishing him a safe journey. I watched them go, one west and one east, until they were just specks in the distance. My own heart was heavy, but I knew my own journey was just beginning. I had to find a sign, something that would tell me where my people belonged.
The Legend of the Three Brothers and the White Eagle

One day, we stood upon a hill where three paths branched out before us. My brother Czech, ever the practical one, pointed west toward a lone, proud mountain in the distance. 'I will climb that peak,' he declared, 'and the land I see from its top will be the home for my people.' He smiled, and we embraced, knowing this was our farewell. I watched them go, one west and one east, until they were just specks in the distance. My own heart was heavy, but I knew my own journey was just beginning. I had to find a sign, something that would tell me where my people belonged.
I led my people north, through dense forests and shimmering lakes. We were tired but hopeful. One evening, as the sun began to set, painting the sky in brilliant shades of red and orange, we came to a clearing. In the center stood a magnificent, ancient oak tree, its branches reaching for the sky like strong arms. And there, at the very top, I saw it. A majestic white eagle, its feathers as pure as snow, was landing in its nest, calling out to its young. The sight was so powerful and beautiful, with the white eagle set against the fiery red of the sunset, that I knew in my heart this was the sign I had been searching for. It was a symbol of strength, family, and protection. 'Here,' I announced to my people, my voice ringing with certainty, 'we will build our home!'.
A Nation is Born. We named our first settlement Gniezno, which means 'nest' in our language, in honor of the eagle's home. That place became the heart of our new nation. The image of the white eagle on a red background became our emblem, a symbol of our courage and our hope for the future. And so, the three Slavic brothers founded three great peoples: Czech founded the Czech nation, Rus founded the lands of the Rus', and I, Lech, founded Poland. Even though we were separated by many miles, the bond of our brotherhood was never broken. Our story was passed down from parents to children, told around campfires and in cozy homes, a reminder of our shared beginnings. It’s a story about how sometimes, to grow, you must find your own path, guided by courage and the signs the world gives you. Today, the white eagle is still the proud symbol of Poland, and the story of our journey reminds people that from one family, many great nations can grow, each with its own unique destiny.
