Canadian Space Agency

Hello! We are the Canadian Space Agency. We have a very special job. We help Canada explore the amazing world of space! We are a team of people who use science to learn new things. We study our beautiful planet Earth from high above. We also look closely at the Moon, the Sun, and all the faraway stars. We want to understand how everything in space works.

We are famous for building a giant robot arm called the Canadarm. It is one of our most important tools. Imagine a huge arm that can work in space! It helps astronauts build things, like the International Space Station. Our robots are very strong. They can grab and move big, heavy objects that people can't lift. The Canadarm is like a super-strong helper, reaching out to fix things or put new pieces on the space station.

Helping astronauts is another big part of our job. We help Canadian astronauts get ready to fly to space in powerful rockets. Some of these brave explorers are named Roberta Bondar, Chris Hadfield, and Jeremy Hansen. When they get to space, they live and work on the International Space Station. It is their home high above the Earth. They do important science experiments there, learning things that we can't learn down on the ground.

Our work continues every day. We are always dreaming up new ways to explore. We look for answers to big questions about the universe. We build new tools and robots and help our astronauts prepare for new journeys. We do all of this to help Canada learn and discover more about space. It is a big adventure, and we are happy to be a part of it.
