The story

We Are The Scout Movement

Hello! We are The Scout Movement. You can just call us the Scouts. We are a very big group of friends, and you can find us all over the world. Our main purpose is to help children just like you learn exciting new things. We believe it is important to have fun adventures outside in nature. We also learn how to be a good friend to everyone we meet and how to work together as a team.

Our story started a long, long time ago. A man named Robert Baden-Powell had a wonderful idea. He thought it would be great for kids to learn important skills while having lots of fun. He wanted them to learn how to camp, how to safely explore the outdoors, and how to help people in their towns. In the year 1908, his idea came to life, and that is how we got our start.

Today, you can find Scouts in almost every country on Earth! We are easy to spot because we wear special uniforms that show we are part of the group. When we learn a new skill, like how to tie a good knot or how to cook a meal on a campfire, we earn special patches called badges. We are proud to wear our badges on our uniforms to show what we have learned.

Being a Scout is all about having fun and helping others. We still love to play games together and sing happy songs. We learn how to be leaders and how to care for our planet. By working together, we can do our part to make the world a better and kinder place for everyone.
