The story

Our Wonderful Home, Earth

I float in the quiet of space like a big, beautiful marble. I swirl with fluffy white clouds and sparkle with deep blue oceans. Patches of my land are green like grass and brown like soil. I am your home. I am planet Earth. The bright Sun keeps me warm, and the gentle Moon is my friend in the night sky.

My story began billions and billions of years ago, way before anyone you know was born. I was made from swirling stardust that danced in space. After I cooled down, my big oceans filled with water, splash, splash. A very long time ago, around 3.7 billion years ago, the first tiny, splashy life began in my seas. It was so small you could barely see it. Much, much later, giant dinosaurs stomped across my lands. Stomp, stomp, roar. They had big feet and long tails. They roamed for millions of years before they disappeared around 66 million years ago. It was time for a change. Then, after a long, quiet time, people arrived. The first modern humans, your ancestors, began exploring my wonderful world around 300,000 years ago. They built homes and told stories under my starry sky.

Today, I am filled with so many amazing living things. I have tall trees that reach for the sky, fuzzy bees that buzz in gardens, and giant whales that sing in my oceans. And I have you. All the people in the world live on me. I am a home for everyone to share. When you are kind to animals, help plant a garden, or keep my water clean, you are taking care of our wonderful home. I love having you here with me, helping me stay beautiful and happy.
