Just want Sagrada Família?
In a warm, sunny city by the sea, I reach for the sky. My towers look like giant, swirly sandcastles, and my walls are covered in carvings of turtles, chameleons, and beautiful flowers. Inside, sunlight shines through my windows, painting colorful rainbows on the floor. I am the Sagrada Família, a very special church in Barcelona, Spain.
My story began a long, long time ago, on March 19th, 1882. A very creative man named Antoni Gaudí became my architect just one year later, in 1883. He had a wonderful idea. He wanted me to look like a giant forest inside. My tall columns stretch up to the ceiling just like big, strong trees reaching for the sun. He worked on me for many years, adding amazing details inspired by nature.
Guess what? I am still growing. Even today, builders are working hard to finish Antoni Gaudí’s amazing dream. People from all over the world come to visit me. They love to look up at my tree-like ceiling and see the rainbow of colors from my windows. I love making people smile and feel full of wonder. I am a place built from a dream, and I will be here to share my magic for many, many years to come.
