Just want The Americas?
I stretch from the tippy-top of the world where it's snowy, all the way down to the warm, wiggly bottom. I have tall, pointy mountains, big, green rainforests filled with chatter, and long, winding rivers. I am two big pieces of land, connected like best friends holding hands. Do you know who I am? I am the Americas.
A very, very long time ago, my first friends arrived. They were brave people who walked a long way to make their homes here. For thousands of years, they built amazing cities, grew yummy corn, and told stories to the stars. Then, one sunny day on October 12th, 1492, a man named Christopher Columbus sailed across the big blue ocean in his ships. He was surprised to find me. After his visit, many more people came from far away lands, bringing new songs, different foods, and exciting ideas.
Today, I am a home for so many different people, animals, and plants. People from all over the world live here together. We have tall, shiny cities that touch the clouds and quiet forests where you can hear the birds sing. I love being a place where so many stories come together to make one big, beautiful new one. I will always be a place for adventure, friendship, and new beginnings for everyone who calls me home.
