The story

I Am Bullying Prevention

Hi. My name is Bullying Prevention. I am the power you have to make sure everyone feels safe and happy at school and in your neighborhood. I help stop unkind words and actions before they can hurt someone's feelings. When you choose to be kind and fair, you are helping me grow stronger.

You can find me when you see someone being left out and you ask them to play on the 2nd day of school. I am there when you use kind words to make someone smile or feel welcome. I am also there when you tell a trusted adult, like a teacher, if you see something that isn’t right. A trusted adult is there to help everyone.

A very important part of me is the choice to be an 'upstander'. An upstander is like a superhero for kindness. Instead of being a bystander who only watches when something unkind happens, an upstander is a friend who helps. This choice makes a big difference and helps everyone feel like they belong.

I am always growing, just like you. Every time you act as a friend or an upstander, you are showing me to the world. I am still learning how important it is for every person to feel safe and included. Remember that using your voice for kindness is one of the most powerful things you can do.
