Moving My Body is Fun

Being active means I move my body in fun ways. I can run in the grass, jump like a frog, or dance to my favorite song. Moving helps my body feel happy and full of energy.

First, I get my body ready by wiggling my fingers and toes and reaching up high. Now I can play! I can chase bubbles, ride my trike, or build a tall tower. When I am done, I take a big, slow breath to help my body feel calm.

When I am active, it helps my muscles grow big and strong. It makes my heart strong, too! After a day of playing, being active helps me sleep all night long so I have energy for a new day.
