Just want Andy Warhol?
Hello, my name is Andy Warhol, and I am an artist. I was born on August 6th, 1928, in a city called Pittsburgh. When I was about eight years old, I became sick and had to stay in bed for a very long time. It was a little boring, but my mom had a wonderful idea. She gave me drawing lessons to help pass the time. She also brought me magazines, and I loved looking at the pictures of famous movie stars. That is when I first fell in love with making art and collecting pictures.
After I grew up and finished art school, I decided to move to a very big and exciting place. In 1949, I packed my bags and moved to New York City. It was the biggest and busiest city I had ever seen. I soon got a job as an artist, drawing pictures for fancy magazines and for advertisements. It was so much fun. I would draw all sorts of things, like stylish shoes, and it was a thrill to see my drawings printed for everyone to see.
In New York, I had a big idea about what art could be. I thought art didn't have to be just of fancy things from long ago. Art could be made from anything, even the things you see every single day. This idea became known as Pop Art. In 1962, I started painting things you might find in your kitchen, like Campbell's soup cans and Coca-Cola bottles. I also made bright, colorful pictures of famous people. I used a special method called screen printing, which let me make lots of copies of my art. I loved using fun, different colors for each one. My art studio was a very creative place called 'The Factory,' and it was painted silver and was always filled with my friends.

My art became famous all around the world. I was so happy that I could show everyone that art is all around us, in the things we buy at the store and the celebrities we see on TV. I lived to be 58 years old, and I was happy I spent my life making art. Today, people still go to museums to see my colorful soup cans and paintings, which remind them to find the magic in everyday things.
