Just want Charles Dickens?
Hello! My name is Charles Dickens, and I just love stories. I was born a very long time ago on February 7th, 1812. When I was a little boy, I read every book I could find. I loved imagining amazing adventures and funny characters. My head was always buzzing with new ideas for tales to tell.
When I grew up, I started writing my ideas down. I wrote a story about a little boy named Oliver Twist who was very brave. I also wrote a famous story called 'A Christmas Carol' about a grumpy man named Ebenezer Scrooge who learns how to be kind. I loved creating worlds with my words that people could visit just by opening a book.
I wrote many books throughout my life. I lived to be 58 years old, and I was so happy that my stories made people laugh, cry, and think. Today, children and grown-ups all over the world still read my books, and it makes me happy to know my characters are still making friends with new readers.
