Just want Georges Braque?
Hello! My name is Georges. I was born in a country called France a long, long time ago, in the year 1882. When I was a little boy, I loved to paint. Painting made me so happy. My dad and my grandpa were painters, too. They didn't paint pictures for museums. They painted walls and houses to make them beautiful and bright. I loved watching them use their big brushes and fun colors. It was my favorite thing to see.
When I grew up, I made a very good friend. His name was Pablo Picasso, and he was a painter, just like me. We liked to paint together. We had a super fun idea. We decided to paint things in a brand-new way that no one had seen before. We painted pictures using lots of shapes. We used squares, and we used triangles. It was like we were showing all the sides of a cup or a guitar at the very same time. Sometimes, I would even glue pieces of newspaper or wood onto my paintings to make them extra special and fun to look at.
I kept making art for my whole life. Painting was my favorite thing to do, from when I was a little boy until I was an old man. I lived to be 81 years old. Today, if you go to a big art museum, you can still see my paintings hanging on the walls. My art showed everyone that there are many different and exciting ways to look at the world around us. It's fun to see things in a new way.
