Jesus of Nazareth

I want to tell you my story. My name is Jesus. I was born a long time ago, around the year 4 BCE, in a little town called Bethlehem. My mother was named Mary, and my earthly father was Joseph. We lived in a town called Nazareth. It was a happy place to grow up. I loved to play and learn new things every day. My father, Joseph, was a carpenter. He worked with wood to build things. I enjoyed helping him with his work very much. It was fun to see wood turn into something useful.

When I grew up, I became a teacher. Starting around the year 27 CE, I traveled to many different towns and villages to meet people. I loved everyone, and I wanted to help them. I told special stories called parables. These stories helped teach people about being kind to each other, sharing what they have, and loving one another. I helped people who were sick or felt sad feel better again. I welcomed everyone to be my friend, and I especially loved spending time with children.

My most important message was simple: Love God, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. I lived for about 33 years. After my life on Earth ended, my friends and followers continued to share my stories and my teachings all over the world. Even today, so many years later, people remember my message of love. They try to live with kindness and hope in their hearts, just as I taught.
