Just want Johann Sebastian Bach?
Hello! My name is Johann Sebastian Bach, but you can call me Sebastian. I was born a very long time ago, in the year 1685, in a country called Germany. Ever since I was a little boy, I loved music more than anything! My whole family loved music, too. Our house was always filled with happy sounds from violins, flutes, and singing.
I learned to play many instruments, but my favorite was the organ. An organ is a giant instrument you find in a church, with huge pipes that reach all the way to the ceiling! When I played it, the music was so big and loud and wonderful, it filled the whole room. In the year 1723, I got a very important job playing the organ and writing music for a big church in a town called Leipzig. I wrote music for happy days, quiet days, and every day in between. I even had a big family of my own, and we all loved to make music together.
I wrote so much music in my life—more than a thousand songs! I lived to be 65 years old, and my life ended in the year 1750. My whole life was like one long, beautiful song. Even though that was a long, long time ago, people all over the world still listen to my music today. It makes them feel happy, peaceful, and excited. My music is a special gift that keeps playing forever.
