Just want Mary Cassatt?
Hello! My name is Mary Cassatt, and I was a painter. I was born a long, long time ago, on May 22nd, 1844. When I was a little girl, I loved to draw and paint more than anything in the world. I would fill up my special sketchbooks with pictures of everything I saw. Drawing made me feel so happy.
When I grew up, I moved to a beautiful city called Paris to become an even better painter. I loved painting my favorite thing in the whole world: mothers and their children. I painted pictures of mamas cuddling their babies, reading stories together, and giving gentle baths. I always used soft, happy colors in my paintings. I wanted to show how much love is in a family.
I painted for many, many years and lived to be 82 years old. Even though I'm not here anymore, my paintings are. You can see them in big museums all over the world. When you see my art, I hope it makes you feel warm and cozy, just like a big hug from someone you love.
