Just want Sir Walter Scott?
Hello. My name is Walter Scott. A long, long time ago, in the year 1771, I was born in a beautiful country called Scotland. When I was a little boy, I loved stories more than anything. I would listen to wonderful tales about brave heroes and magical places. My favorite stories were the old ones about Scotland's history.
When I grew up, I decided to write my own stories for everyone to enjoy. In the year 1814, I wrote a book about exciting adventures with knights in shining armor and grand, stony castles. My books were filled with the history and legends I loved so much as a boy. I even built a special house for myself that looked just like a castle from one of my stories. I called my home Abbotsford.
My stories traveled all around the world, and I loved sharing the magic of Scotland with so many people. I lived until the year 1832. I lived to be 61 years old, and I filled those years with imagination and adventure. Today, people still read my books, and they remember me for all the wonderful tales I told.
