Just want Vespasian?
Hello! My name is Vespasian. I was born a very long time ago, on November 17th, in the year 9. I lived in a country place in a land called Italy. When I grew up, I wanted to be helpful. I became a soldier in the great Roman army. I learned how to be a good leader and help keep people safe.
I was a good leader for the army for many years. Then, in the year 69, I was given a very important job. I became the emperor of Rome! Being an emperor is like being a king. I wanted to do something special for all the people in my city. I decided to build a giant, round building where everyone could come to watch fun shows. This was the start of a very famous building called the Colosseum.
I helped make Rome a peaceful and happy place to live. After I was gone, my son Titus made sure the big Colosseum was all finished. I lived to be 69 years old. People still remember me today because the amazing Colosseum I started building still stands in Rome. It helps everyone remember the stories from a long, long time ago.
