The story

The Story of Animal Life Cycles

Have you ever seen a fuzzy caterpillar munching on a leaf, and then one day it becomes a beautiful butterfly with colorful wings? Or have you seen a tiny, wiggly tadpole in a pond that grows legs and turns into a hopping frog? That’s me! I am the secret of how animals grow and change. My name is Animal Life Cycles, and I help every animal on its special journey.

A long, long time ago, people watched animals and wondered how they grew. A very wise man named Aristotle, who lived in a place called Greece in the 4th century BCE, was one of the first to write down my secrets. He watched tiny insects hatch from eggs, change into wriggly larvae, rest as a pupa, and finally become grown-up bugs. He showed everyone that animals don’t just appear—they grow in special steps. From a little chick pecking out of its shell to a big, fluffy sheep, I am the pattern that every animal follows.

Guess what? You have a life cycle, too! You were once a tiny baby, then you learned to crawl and walk, and now you are a big kid who can run and play! Growing and changing is your adventure. I am the story of life, showing how every living thing gets bigger and stronger. Next time you see a butterfly float by or a puppy grow into a big dog, you’ll know my secret: growing is a beautiful and wonderful part of everyone’s story.
