Way back, around the year 2000 BCE, people in faraway places called Egypt and Babylon used me. They needed me to build their big, pointy pyramids so the blocks would fit just right. They used me to make sure every family had enough grain to eat, so no one was hungry. Later on, a very smart thinker named Euclid lived in a sunny place called Greece around the year 300 BCE. He wrote all about me in a big book to show everyone how numbers can work together like a friendly team.
