The story

I Am Frankenstein's Story

Hello there. I am not a person, but I have a voice. I am made of paper and ink, but I hold a big, exciting idea inside me. Before you open my pages, you might think of a stormy night and a flash of lightning. You might feel a little shiver of wonder. That's because I am a special story waiting to be told. I am the book called Frankenstein. I am full of imagination.

A very smart and imaginative young woman named Mary Shelley created me a long, long time ago. One rainy summer in the year 1816, she and her friends decided to have a fun contest. They wanted to see who could write the best spooky story. Mary had a big dream about a scientist who creates something new and amazing. She woke up and knew she had to write it down. She turned that dream into me. She carefully wrote all my words, and on January 1st, 1818, I was shared with the world as a brand new book for everyone to read.

My story is about a scientist named Victor Frankenstein and the Creature he makes. The Creature is very big and strong, but he feels lonely because he looks different from everyone else. He just wants a friend. I help people think about what it means to be a good friend. I help them remember how important it is to be kind to everyone, no matter what they look like. Even though I was written so long ago, people still read my pages today. I remind them that imagination is a superpower and that friendship is the best thing we can create. I hope my story helps you imagine new worlds and be a kind friend, too.
