FIFA

Hello! Our full name is Fédération Internationale de Football Association. That’s a long name, so most people just call us FIFA. We are a big team that helps people all over the world play soccer. We want everyone to enjoy this fun game together. We started a long, long time ago, in the year 1904. Our first job was to make sure that every team played by the same set of rules. This helps make every game fair, no matter which country the players are from.

Our biggest job is putting on a giant soccer game called the World Cup. It is a very exciting party for soccer! The World Cup happens every four years. Teams from countries all around the world come to play. They practice very hard to be the best. Many people watch the games and cheer for their favorite teams. It is a time for people from different places to celebrate together.

We want soccer to be for everyone, so we help boys and girls learn how to play. We also have a special World Cup for women's teams, and it is very popular! We think it's important for everyone to have a chance to kick a ball and score a goal. We help build new soccer fields for communities to use. Our goal is to always keep the game fun and fair for every single player.

Today, we continue to help soccer grow. We make sure the rules are clear and that players are safe. We love watching new players learn and seeing fans cheer. Soccer brings people together, and we are happy to be a part of it all.
