Just want Paris, France?
I have a river that sparkles like a ribbon. You can smell yummy, buttery croissants baking in my bakeries. High above my rooftops, a pointy iron tower tickles the clouds. Can you guess who I am? I am Paris.
I wasn't always a big city. A very, very long time ago, I was just a tiny village on an island in the river. I grew bigger and bigger, like a flower opening in the sun. Kings and queens came and built beautiful castles for themselves. One of my castles is now a home for amazing paintings that people love to see. Much later, for a huge party, a clever man named Gustave Eiffel built my famous tower. It was finished on March 31st, 1889, and it reaches for the sky. It was like stacking the biggest, tallest blocks you have ever seen.
Today, I am a busy, happy city. Artists sit by my river, the Seine, and paint beautiful pictures. Families have picnics in my green gardens, and boats float gently under my many bridges. At night, I twinkle with so many lights that people call me the 'City of Light.' I love sharing my beautiful sights and stories with everyone who visits. I am a place for making happy memories and dreaming big dreams.
