Hello, I'm Jealousy
Have you ever seen your best friend playing with someone new and felt a hot, prickly feeling in your tummy? That’s me, Jealousy. I am a feeling that shows up when you are worried you might lose someone or something very special to you. I'm not trying to be mean; I'm just trying to protect your heart because I know how much you care.
When I visit, I can make you feel grumpy or sad, and you might want to stomp your feet. But I’m not a bad feeling. I’m a messenger trying to tell you that something is very important to you. Instead of letting me take over, you can try some helpful things. You can take a deep breath to calm your body. You can use your words to tell a grown-up or your friend how you feel. You can even find a fun new game to play. Understanding me helps you learn about yourself and makes your friendships even stronger. I am a feeling that everyone has sometimes, and learning to listen to me helps you grow.
