I am Patience
Hi there. My name is Patience. You might not see me, but you feel me when you have to wait for something you really, really want. I am learning to be patient. I’m that calm, quiet feeling that helps you wait your turn on the swings at the park, or for your birthday to finally arrive on the 15th of the month. It can feel like it takes a very long time, but I am there to help you stay steady and calm. I help you understand that good things are worth waiting for, even when it feels like it’s taking forever to get there.
Sometimes, I am very hard to hold onto, and that's okay. Remember last summer, around the 2nd of July, when you were learning to build that huge, 1,000-piece LEGO castle? The instructions were tricky, and the tiny pieces kept slipping and falling apart. You felt a wave of frustration and wanted to give up and push the whole thing over. But I was there, whispering that it was okay to feel that way and that taking a break to try again later was a great idea. We worked together, piece by piece, taking our time until the final tower was carefully placed on top on the 4th of July. Because of me, you didn't just build a castle; you learned that you can achieve amazing things if you just keep trying and don't let frustration win.
