Time to Tame the Tangles

When I wake up, my hair can be a little wild with tangles. Brushing my hair is how I make it smooth and neat for the day. I find my favorite brush, which feels good in my hand, and get ready to gently work out any knots.

To brush without any ouches, I always start at the bottom tips of my hair first. I hold my hair in one hand and gently brush the very ends. Once the ends are smooth, I move my brush a little higher and brush down to the ends again. I keep doing this until I can glide the brush all the way from the top of my head to the bottom without any snags.

Brushing does more than just get knots out; it helps keep my hair healthy. The brush spreads my hair's natural oils, which makes it shiny and strong. It also feels like a mini head massage. When I don't brush, my hair can feel messy, but after I brush, it feels soft and looks great.

Taking a few minutes to brush my hair helps me feel ready and confident for whatever I'm doing, like going to school or playing with friends. It's a simple way I take care of myself each day. Having neat hair helps me feel put-together and proud.
