Finishing My Jobs
I am learning about finishing what I start. When I build with blocks, my job isn't done until the very last block is on top. It also isn't finished until all the extra blocks are put away in their bin. Finishing my tasks means I do the whole job from the beginning to the end.
I can finish a big job by doing it one step at a time. To get my backpack ready for school, I first open it up wide. Next, I look at my homework list and put each finished paper inside my folder. After that, I zip up the big pocket. Finally, I put my backpack by the door so I don't forget it.
There is a great feeling that comes with being 'all done!'. When I finish cleaning my room, it feels fresh and I know where all my toys are. This feeling is much better than leaving a mess. A messy room can make it hard for me to play and relax.
Finishing my jobs helps me play. When my chores are done, I have free time to play without anyone reminding me what I need to do. Finishing my work first makes my playtime feel even more fun and relaxing. My brain is free to just imagine and create when my jobs are all done.
