Storypie Willoughby-Eastlake Library partnership: Turning Screen Time Into Community Learning Time

Storypie is partnering with the Willoughby–Eastlake Public Library system (WEPL), across all four branches: Eastlake, Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, and Willowick.

We built Storypie to live in real families’ lives—on car rides, at bedtime, in classrooms, and yes, inside libraries. So we’re thrilled to share a new chapter close to home.

What This Partnership Means for Families

Willoughby–Eastlake Public Library is a school-district library serving seven Lake County communities, offering books, eResources, and research tools through WE247.org.

Storypie adds an extra layer on top of that:

How WEPL Cardholders Get an Extra Free Story

To celebrate the partnership, every Willoughby–Eastlake Public Library cardholder can unlock an additional free Storypie story. There are two simple ways to claim it:

Option 1: From Home (via WE247.org)

1. Visit WE247.org and log into your library account with your Willoughby–Eastlake library card.

2. Look for the Storypie information on the WEPL site.

3. Tap through to download the Storypie app via our Get the app page.

4. Follow the instructions there to redeem your WEPL-only promo code, which unlocks one extra free story inside Storypie.

Option 2: Inside Any WEPL Branch

1. Visit any of the four locations: Eastlake, Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, or Willowick.

2. Stop by the information desk.

3. Scan the Storypie QR code posted there to download the app and access the WEPL promo flow.

4. Enter your special code to claim your bonus story.

How Storypie + WEPL Work Together

From our side, we see this partnership as a loop:

1. Spark curiosity in Storypie
   A child listens to a story about Tim Berners-Lee and the web, or Athena and Poseidon, or fractions as “pieces of a whole.”

2. Head to the library (physically or online)
   Families use WEPL’s catalog, databases, and staff expertise to go deeper with books, videos, and research tools.

3. Come back to Storypie to reinforce learning
   Kids revisit a topic in another age band, answer new questions, or create a personal adventure that weaves in what they’ve learned.

It’s a cycle of listen → explore → create that keeps both the library and the app at the center of a child’s learning journey.

Looking Ahead: More Access in 2026

This initial rollout focuses on giving every WEPL cardholder an extra free Storypie story and making it easy to discover us from WE247.org and in-branch QR codes.

In 2026, we’ll be strengthening this partnership even further, with plans to:

• Expand in-library access and programming that uses Storypie alongside WEPL’s print and digital collections.

• Offer more library-specific benefits for Willoughby–Eastlake patrons.

• Create program ideas and resources for librarians to pair Storypie stories with STEM builds, writing prompts, and art activities.
