The story

I Am Your Amazing Body

Hello. Can you guess who I am? I am your wiggly toes that dance in your shoes and your clapping hands that make a happy sound. I am your strong legs for running super fast and your cozy arms for giving the best hugs. I am your listening ears, your seeing eyes, and your smiling mouth. I am all the special pieces that make you, YOU. I am... your Body Parts.

For a very long time, people were curious about me. A long, long time ago, back in ancient Egypt around 1600 BCE, wise healers wrote down what they knew about my bones and my beating heart. A little later, in a sunny place called ancient Greece around 400 BCE, a kind doctor named Hippocrates taught everyone how important it was to keep me healthy with yummy food and lots of playtime. People began to draw pictures of me to understand how my tummy helps digest snacks and my lungs help you take big, fresh breaths.

Today, you know so much about me. You know your nose is for smelling flowers, and your mouth is for singing your favorite songs. I help you feel the warm sun on your skin and the soft fur of a kitten. I am your very own amazing body, and I am so proud to help you explore the world, learn new things, and grow bigger and stronger every single day. Take good care of me, and we'll have so much fun together.
