Just want The Three Musketeers?
Can you hear it? The clatter of horse hooves on cobblestones, the sharp ring of steel as swords cross, and the rustle of a secret letter being passed in the shadows. I was born in a time of grand adventure, in a place of royal courts and hidden dangers. I am the feeling of a loyal promise between friends, the thrill of a daring escape, and the courage to stand up for what is right. You might think I am a person, but I am something you can hold in your hands. I carry the lives of unforgettable heroes within my pages, their voices echoing through time with every turn. I am not just a book; I am an adventure waiting to happen. I am the story of The Three Musketeers.
My life began with a man who had a mind bursting with excitement and history, a writer named Alexandre Dumas. In the grand city of Paris, France, during the year 1844, he dipped his quill in ink and began to write my tale. He was inspired by real events and people from two centuries before his time, during the reign of King Louis XIII. Can you imagine writing a story so exciting that people couldn't wait to read the next part? That’s exactly how I was shared with the world. Between March and July of 1844, I was published bit by bit in a newspaper called Le Siècle. Each week, readers would rush to get the latest installment, eager to find out what would happen next to a brave young man named d'Artagnan. He had traveled to Paris with a big dream: to become one of the King's Musketeers, the most respected soldiers in all of France. My creator wove together history and imagination to build a world that felt both real and fantastic.

He had traveled to Paris with a big dream: to become one of the King's Musketeers, the most respected soldiers in all of France. My creator wove together history and imagination to build a world that felt both real and fantastic.
At the heart of my story is the power of friendship. When d'Artagnan arrives in Paris, he almost immediately gets into trouble and challenges three famous musketeers to duels. But these weren't just any musketeers. There was the noble and mysterious Athos, the loud and powerful Porthos, and the clever and handsome Aramis. Instead of fighting each other, a twist of fate forced them to fight together against common enemies. From that moment on, they became inseparable friends. They lived by a promise that has since become famous all over the world: 'All for one, and one for all!'. This motto was their guide as they faced incredible dangers. I tell of their quests to protect the Queen of France, outsmart the powerful and cunning Cardinal Richelieu, and battle his dangerous spies. My pages are filled with thrilling sword fights on castle walls, secret plots whispered in dark alleys, and an unbreakable bond that proves four friends working together can overcome anything.
My adventure didn't end when Alexandre Dumas wrote the final sentence in 1844. In fact, it was just beginning. From Paris, I traveled across the entire world as my words were translated into countless languages for new readers to enjoy. My story of d'Artagnan and his friends leaped from the page and onto theater stages and big movie screens, again and again. I’ve even been turned into cartoons for kids. For more than 175 years, I have been showing people that the greatest treasure isn't gold or jewels, but the loyalty and courage of true friends. I continue to inspire people to be brave, to stand by their friends, and to remember that with teamwork and a little daring, any adventure is possible.
