Just want Saxophone?
Hello there. My name is the Saxophone, and I am a shiny, curvy musical instrument. When you look at me, you might see my golden brass body gleaming under the lights. My voice is very special because I can sing in so many ways. Sometimes I am smooth and quiet like a whisper in the wind, and other times I can be loud and proud like a lion's roar. Before I was born, the world of music was missing something. My creator felt that orchestras needed a sound that had the power of a brass instrument, like a trumpet, but also the gentle, soft voice of a woodwind instrument, like a clarinet. He dreamed of an instrument that could sing with a whole new kind of feeling, and that’s when he started thinking of me.
My creator was a very clever man from a country called Belgium, and his name was Adolphe Sax. He was a brilliant instrument maker who loved to invent new things. In the 1840s, he moved to the busy city of Paris, where he had a workshop filled with tools and ideas. He worked day and night, experimenting with different parts to create the perfect new sound. He took the big, strong body of a brass instrument and attached a special mouthpiece that uses a reed, just like a woodwind instrument. It was a brand new idea that no one had ever tried before. After a lot of hard work and tinkering, I was finally born. I received my official patent on June 28th, 1846, which is like my birthday. Adolphe was so proud of me. He didn't just make one of me, either. He created a whole family of saxophones, from the big, deep-voiced baritone saxophone to the small, high-pitched soprano saxophone. We were all ready to share our music with the world.

At first, it was a little hard to find my place. But my big, clear voice was perfect for military bands. I would march in parades, playing loud and strong music that made everyone feel cheerful. It was fun, but soon I discovered a new kind of music where I felt I truly belonged. It was called Jazz. In a wonderful city called New Orleans, musicians fell in love with my soulful sound. With them, I could be playful and bouncy, making music that made people want to get up and dance. I could also be smooth and dreamy, playing slow, beautiful songs that made people feel calm and happy. I became a star in jazz music. Today, you can still hear me playing jazz all over the world. But I also love to play in pop songs, rock and roll bands, and even in big orchestras. My greatest joy is making music that helps people feel all sorts of wonderful emotions.
