Just want The Mitten - Ukrainian?
One chilly winter day, a little boy named Nicki dropped his big, warm mitten in the forest. The snow covered everything like a soft, white blanket. A tiny mouse saw the mitten lying in the snow. It looked so cozy and warm, and an adventure was about to begin. This is the story of The Mitten.
The little mouse crawled inside the warm mitten. Soon, more animals came by. First, a fluffy rabbit hopped up. 'Can I come in?' he asked. Then a prickly hedgehog came along. 'Can I come in?' he asked. One by one, a badger, a fox, and even a great big bear saw the cozy mitten. They all asked, 'Can I come in?'. And the animals inside always said, 'Yes, there's room!'. The mitten stretched bigger and bigger. It grew and grew to fit everyone. Inside, all the animals were snug and warm. They shared the space like one big, happy family.
Then, the first little mouse, who was very small, decided to crawl in, too. She found a tiny spot right on the big bear's nose. Her little whiskers tickled the bear's nose. It started to twitch. 'A-A-A-CHOO!'. The bear let out a giant sneeze. The mitten popped high into the air. All the animals tumbled out safely into the soft snow. Just then, Nicki came back and found his mitten, all stretched out. This old story from Ukraine shows us that kindness and sharing can make room for everyone, no matter how small.
