Just want Kenya Wildlife Service?
Hello! We are the Kenya Wildlife Service. Our short name is KWS. We work in a big, beautiful country in Africa called Kenya. Kenya is home to so many amazing wild animals. We see tall giraffes munching on leaves, big elephants splashing in the water, and brave lions resting in the sun. Our special and important job is to take care of all these animals.
Our biggest job is to protect the animals and the places where they live. We look after huge parks where the animals have lots of room. In our parks, they are free to run, play, and find food. It is a safe place for them to raise their families. We want every animal to have a safe and happy home. To do this, we have a team of helpers called rangers. Our rangers are like animal police. They walk through the parks to make sure the animals are safe from any harm.
Sometimes, an animal needs extra help. A baby animal might get lost and can’t find its family. Or maybe an animal gets hurt and needs a doctor. When this happens, we are there to help. We gently care for the hurt or lost animals until they are healthy and strong again. We are still working every day to help. It is our promise to make sure that Kenya's amazing animals are safe and healthy for many years to come.
