Drinking Safe Water
I know that safe water is clean water my body needs to be healthy and strong. It doesn’t have any yucky germs or dirt that can make me feel sick. I think about how I wash my hands to get them clean; water needs to be clean before I drink it, too. This clean water helps me run, play, and feel great all day.
The best way for me to get safe water is from a place I trust, like the faucet in my kitchen. This water has already been cleaned for me. I always use a clean cup, because a dirty one can put germs back in. If I'm outside camping, a grown-up can help make water safe by boiling it on a stove or using a special water filter to catch all the germs.
Drinking lots of safe water gives my body energy and helps my brain think hard at school. When I drink clean water, I am helping my body stay healthy. If I drink water that isn't safe, it can make my tummy hurt. So, I remember that choosing safe, clean water is one of the best ways I can take care of myself every single day.
