Time to Be Still

Sometimes my body feels tired after I run and play hard. Resting is when I let my body be still and quiet for a little while. It helps my body get new energy so I feel ready to play again.

First, I find a cozy spot, like a soft rug or a big chair. Next, I can sit down or lie down and let my whole body get floppy like a cooked noodle. I can close my eyes and take a big, slow breath in and a long, slow breath out. This helps my body feel calm.

Resting my body is important because it gives me a little break. When I take time to be still, I help my body feel strong and ready for more fun. Taking a rest helps me have a happy and healthy day.
