Just want Isaac Peral?
Hello. My name is Isaac Peral, and I want to tell you my story. When I was a boy, I lived in a country called Spain. More than anything, I loved the big, blue sea. I became a sailor and spent lots of my time on big boats. It was so much fun to be out on the water. I would watch the tall waves go up and down, and I loved seeing all the colorful fish swimming deep below.
One day, I had a big, splashy idea. It was a super-exciting idea. I wanted to build a boat that was different from all the other boats. I wanted to build a special boat that could swim underwater, just like a fish. My boat would not use a loud, noisy engine. Instead, it would use quiet electricity to move, just like some of your toys. I also had an idea for a special looking glass that could peek above the water to see everything, even while the boat was hiding underneath.
So, I started building my amazing submarine. It was so much fun to watch it come together. Then, in the year 1888, it was finally ready. It was time for my boat to have its first underwater adventure. I watched as it dove under the water. Splash. It worked. My special boat could explore the deep sea all on its own. I was so happy that my idea was real.
I lived a full and happy life, always dreaming of new inventions. My special submarine is now in a museum where everyone can see it. It helps people remember that even the biggest, splashiest dreams can come true if you keep trying. It is wonderful to know my invention still makes people smile.
